Vietnam presented as new hub for world cinema at California events  

Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism spotlights the country as a rising global cinema destination at major events in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Vietnam’s Tourism and Cinema Promotion Programme recently held sideline events in San Francisco and Los Angeles, California, USA, under the theme “Vietnam – The New Destination of World Cinema.”

Mekong delta tourism thrives on community-based model  

With its indigenous culture formed by friendly and generous people, natural landscape and areas of lush gardens, the Mekong Delta region boasts great potential and a good foundation to develop community-based tourism. Taking advantage of the available potential, regional localities have focused on developing various kinds of tourism, such as cultural-historical, ecological, resort, agricultural-rural, and community-based.

Dusit International, Saigontourist Group to boost tourism development in Vietnam Dusit International has partnered with Vietnam’s Saigontourist Group to drive tourism development in Thailand and Vietnam through strategic promotions, enhanced services, and the creation of innovative tourism products. Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will share technical expertise, experience, and best practices to help elevate the quality and effectiveness of tourism services in both countries; as well as to explore opportunities for joint hotel development and promote each other’s tourism offerings at major events, festivals, and travel fairs.

Da Nang calls for easing of visa policies to lure foreigners  

Travel companies pushed for relaxed visa policies to draw more international tourists to Da Nang at a recent tourism forum in the bustling coastal city. “Vietnam’s tourism is seeing a strong recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, but visa policies present challenges,” Nguyen Son Thuy, director of Visit Indochina Travel Company, said at the 2024 Vietnam Hotel Innovation Technology Exhibition and Forum (Horecfex) in Da Nang on Monday.
