With the grand unveiling of the Capella Bangkok on 1st October 2020, Capella Hotels and Resorts have opened their very first property in Thailand. The new build forms part of a 14-acre complex alongside the city’s major waterway, comprising a range of luxury hotels and residences.
Located on the banks of Bangkok’s iconic Chao Phraya, Capella Bangkok features a total of 101 keys, ranging from 61m2 guest rooms to expansive suites and villas covering up to 595m2. With floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies or verandas as standard in each room – and with al fresco Jacuzzis in riverside villas – the hotel provides bright and spacious accommodation in the heart of the capital, with superb views of the city.
“The esteemed location was selected due to its access to the storied Chao Phraya River and Charoenkrung Road — Bangkok’s oldest paved road, where tradition and cultural heritage meets the city’s trendiest cafés, bars and art galleries,” explains general manager John Blanco. “The opening of Capella Bangkok is a part of a larger renaissance and revitalisation this area of the city is experiencing,” he added.
Cutting-edge leisure facilities on offer at the Capella Bangkok include a 24-hour fitness centre and a spa, while MICE travellers can also enjoy the comfort and convenience of seven versatile event spaces. Capella guests can also treat themselves to a wide range of dining options, from Phra Nakhon Thai restaurant; to Côte by Michelin-starred Italian-Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco, which serves up traditional French and Italian cuisine.
According to Blanco, “Capella Bangkok is the only hotel within the city where every guest will have an unobstructed view of the ‘River of Kings,’ creating an unforgettable experience to truly take in the beauty of the city.” Combining superb views with state-of-the art facilities, great food and comforting accommodation, the hotel is ready to revive luxury city getaways in the Thai capital.
As visitors will discover, “Capella Bangkok is a gateway to the eternal beauty of nature and the urban oasis of the city.”
