Right now, Bangkok is in the middle of the long-awaited Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2023 event – one of the biggest B2B travel industry shows in Southeast Asia, where the industry’s finest gather to meet, network and share their latest innovations in the nation’s capital.
Held from 31 May to 2 June at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, TTM+ 2023 showcases travel products, services and experiences with an emphasis on Thai cultural values. According to Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the show will provide visitors with “truly meaningful travel experiences across all five regions of Thailand.”
TTM+ is closely aligned with TAT’s “Visit Thailand Year 2023: Amazing New Chapters” marketing campaign, part of the organisation’s wider strategy to incorporate technology and innovation into operations. Ultimately, this approach is intended to add value to the sector, upgrading it to what’s been dubbed as “Smart Tourism.”
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn is the TAT Governor. He recently commented that TTM+ 2023 will play a key role in promoting high-value and sustainable tourism offerings in Thailand. This prestigious event aims to raise sustainability standards, while also building on the kingdom’s 5F soft-power foundations (Food, Film, Festival, Fight, and Fashion).
The event is expected to attract more than 850 participants, including 400 sellers representing all five regions of Thailand, 350 buyers from 50 countries, and 100 local and international media outlets. Representatives from Europe, ASEAN, East Asia, America and Australia will be out in force, while emerging markets in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, South America and South Africa are also expected to attend in significant numbers.
These attendees will be treated to a series of unique and insightful events, from talk shows and seminars to on-site appointments, networking lunches, breakout sessions and ceremonies. Throughout a packed three-day schedule, everyone in attendance will have the chance to expand their professional networks and deepen their understanding of the many delights Thai tourism has to offer.
