Misfits Festival 2025: A Look Ahead to Malaysia’s Biggest Electronic Music Event

Globally renowned Misfits Festival has confirmed its long-awaited debut in Malaysia this April. One of the biggest electronic music events in the festival calendar, the festival is set to appear in Malaysia for the very first time.

For travellers with a love of music and good times, the event promises an unforgettable experience, with a combination of beats, visuals and some of the biggest names from the international trance and techno scene. Organised by Future Sound Asia, the creative force behind Good Vibes Festival, Misfits is led by global DJ Ben Nicky.

Renowned for his extraordinary talent and global influence, Ben Nicky is one of the world’s leading DJs. His curation of Misfits Festival brings together an array of premier headline acts. In the past he has teamed up with heavy hitters like Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Becky Hill, David Guetta, Nicole Scherzinger, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

Hailed by Diplo as the “leader of a new movement” and recognised by Armin van Burren as “one of the hardest working DJs in the industry,” he ensures every Misfit event is an extraordinary journey filled with cutting-edge line-ups, world-class laser shows and mind-blowing visuals.

In recent years, Misfits Festival has made a name for itself with sold-out shows in UK cities like Bristol, Belfast, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with crowds of over 22,000 people adding to an atmosphere of excitement and celebration. Known for its electrifying energy and unique experiences, the festival is expanding its reach to the world stage this Spring.

Misfits Festival will arrive on Malaysian shores on 26 April 2025, at the Surf Beach at Sunway Lagoon; an amusement park in Sunway City, Subang Jaya, Selangor. Known for hosting standout concerts like Bring Me the Horizon in 2024 and upcoming events like the Pinkfish Countdown and Cigarettes After Sex, this venue is the ideal setting for a night of music and unforgettable memories.

Tickets are now available, with prices ranging from RM170 (US$ 38) to RM350 (US$ 78). Early pre-sale prices are also available, offering travellers even more value for money. Tickets are available via the official Ticket Melon website. VIP tickets offer exclusive perks such as priority VIP entrance, access to both general and VIP areas, a raised viewing platform on the VIP deck, and dedicated VIP bars. The festival is open only to those aged 18 and over.
