From 11-12 October, Borneo Sonic Music Festival (BSMF) will return to Sarawak Stadium in Borneo. A total of 36,000 people are expected to attend the show, which will feature a stellar lineup of local, regional and international music acts.
“Sarawak is pioneering the path in Malaysia and Borneo,” says Sarawak Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah. “Featuring genres like K-pop, RnB, hip-hop and EDM, BSMF 2024 aims to be a hub for music lovers of all tastes, ensuring an inclusive and exciting experience,” he added.
In addition to many musical highlights, this year’s event will have a range of new attractions, including the Borneo Sonic Food Carnival at Dataran Stadium and a whole host of exciting games, exhibitions and giveaways. Accommodation options for attendees include camping and glamping at Football Field D, just 200 metres from the main festival venue.
For sport lovers, BSMF 2024 will also feature the Borneo Sonic Music Run on 12 October, during which around 1,000 runners will tackle a 3km course surrounding Sarawak Stadium.
Borneo Sonic Music Festival 2024 is organised by BME International Sdn Bhd, managed by Place Borneo Sdn Bhd and endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP). A statement from the organisers reads: “we invite music lovers and global travellers to join us as BSMF 2024.
