A Message from Panorama Destination Indonesia
Greetings from Indonesia!
We’re in the midst of the dry season in Indonesia at the moment, with beautiful sunny weather in locations nationwide – from Sumatra and Java to Bali, Lombok, Labuan Bajo and South Sulawesi. With very little rain and low humidity, the days are sunny and relatively cool, making Indonesia the ideal destination for a summer holiday.
July has been a very busy month for Panorama Destination Indonesia, with large numbers of clients and revenue showing a 10% increase compared to the same month last year. July and August are traditionally our peak season, and we have handled many groups from Europe, North America, ASEAN, South Asia and the Middle East over the past few weeks. We look forward to welcoming many more in the weeks and months ahead.
There’s cause for celebration at the national level this month, as Indonesia will officially celebrate its 79th Independence day with an official ceremony at the new capital city, Nusantara, on 17 August. Speaking of new destinations gaining international attention, starting next month, Air Asia will begin operating new direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Labuan Bajo in Flores. This is one of our focus locations, so we’re delighted to see demand for flights on the increase. The inaugural service will take off on 3 September, and will operate three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).
We’ll be doing some flying of our own at Panorama Destination this month, as the team is scheduled to attend the Indonesian Festival in New York City from 20-25 August. Some of the destinations featured in our presentation will be Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok and Labuan Bajo (Komodo). If you’re also attending, we hope to see you there.
If you have any questions or special requests, do feel free to get in touch. We look forward to helping you put together travel packages for Indonesia that are as unique as they are unforgettable.
Best regards,
Ricky Setiawanto,
Director of Business Development, Panorama Destination Indonesia.
