Hanoi - Understanding Vietnam’s People & Culture

After breakfast, meet with your driver and begin the day’s activities with a trip to Hanoi’s Ethnology Museum, exhibiting examples of architecture, puppetry, calligraphy and a unique stone game called O An Quan. Next, have lunch at Bun Cha Huong Lien, then visit the Temple of Literature, built in 1076. After that, you will visit Ngoc Son Temple, located in the centre of Hoan Kiem Lake. Finally, embark on a CYCLO tour to see Hanoi’s famous ‘36 streets’.

Day 3
Hanoi - Sapa - Black H’mong Village of Ma Tra

After breakfast, leave city life behind to enjoy a nice walk into a hidden valley in Sapa; an area that is seldom visited. Take a short walk along a dirt trail through beautiful gardens and lush pine forests, to the Black H’mong ethnic minority village of Ma Tra. Continue through paddy fields and spectacular scenery and visit a local school. From there, head to the church of Ta Phin, where your car will take you back to Sapa.

Full-Day to Topas Riverside Lodge

Journey into Hoang Lien National Park, to Sin Chai village. You are now “off the beaten track”. Enjoy beautiful views of mountains, waterfalls and deep valleys, as the trail leads you to the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu. Here you will meet villagers, visit their homes, and learn more about daily life. Walk to Nam Cang village, where lunch is served at Topas Riverside Lodge. Take a swim in the river, before meeting your driver for the journey back.

Sapa - Hanoi

Hanoi - Bai Tu Long Bay

After breakfast, transfer to Bai Tu Long Bay. Enjoy a welcome drink onboard the Tonkin Cruise boat, then set off cruising through Bai Tu Long Bay, with lunch served on board. Explore Vung Vieng Village. Swimming, sunbathing and relaxing are offered at Ban Chan Beach, then sit back and enjoy the sunset with a cocktail as the boat continues cruising to Cong Dong. Enjoy a BBQ dinner, then the evening is free at leisure.

Day 7
Bai Tu Long Bay - Ninh Binh

Halong Bay is breathtakingly beautiful in the mornings. Enjoy a session of Tai Chi on the upper deck of the boat, followed by a light breakfast. Visit Thien Canh Son cave and islets, then enjoy a delicious brunch as we continue to cruise back towards the harbour through beautiful green scenery. Meet your guide and driver for transfer to Ninh Binh for overnight stay.

Ninh Binh - Van Long Nature Reserve Cycling Tour - Hue

Hue - Forbidden Purple City

Visit the Forbidden Purple City in the Citadel of Hue; a cultural and religious centre under the Nguyen dynasty until 1945 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. At noon, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Board a dragon boat on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Then, visit the tombs of the emperor’s Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, representing a fusion of traditional Vietnamese style and modern influences.

Hue - Immersion Lang Co - Hoi An

After breakfast, you will check out and head to Hoi An via Lang Co; a unique natural location known locally as Heaven’s Door. Make a stop at a local fishing post, have lunch in an authentic stilt house above the water, and try the delicious fresh seafood prepared by the family. Swimming and snorkelling can also be enjoyed here. Next, head to Hoi An. Via the breath-taking Hai Van Pass and Lang Co beach.

Hoi An - My Son Sanctuary & Old Town Walking Tour

At 8.30 am, start a walking tour to Japanese Covered Bridges, Pottery Museum, the centuries-old Tan Ky House, Chua Ong Pagoda and a vibrant local market. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be driven to the World Heritage Site known as ‘My Son Sanctuary’; a cluster partially ruined Hindu temples, built between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the kings of Champa. Return to Hoi An by local boat, then enjoy free time at leisure.

Today you will have free time until your driver and guide pick you up 2.5 hours before your departure time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon. Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh City Tan Son Nhat Airport, your driver and guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. At around 18.00 pm, depart from your hotel for a Vespa tour of Saigon, introducing you to the city’s unique and vibrant nightlife.

Saigon - Mekong Rural Life

Travel by car to the Cai Be Cao Dai Oratories for transfer by the tourist boat to the floating rice market at An Cu commune in Cai Be district. Visit the ancient village of Dong Hoa Hiep commune and Tan Phong islet, before lunch at The Mekong Eco restaurant. Take a cycling tour to a number of local houses to learn about local cottage industries, then return to the pier and go back to Saigon.

Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels - Departure

At 8:30 you will meet your driver and guide. A morning drive will take you to visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels; more than 200 km of tunnels built here by Vietnamese guerrillas during the American war. Explore the bedrooms, meeting rooms, air-raid shelters and smokeless kitchens, and experience life underground in this extraordinary tunnel complex. After visiting the tunnels, you will be transferred directly to Saigon Airport for your flight home.
